Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Erie is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Erie follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Very friendly from the second we walked in. We got our food and drinks very quickly. The food was absolutely delicious. We got the nachos and cheese sticks to start. Homemade cheese sticks. So good! Them we got pulled pork sandwiches. Pulled pork and mac n cheese wrap some fries and coleslaw with the sides of chili. Everything was good. Bursting with flavor. And the fries reminded me of idlewilds potato patch. I've been to bbq competitions up at seven springs and this was a very very strong contender for one of the best barbecue places I've eaten at. Honestly I'd probably rate this a 10/10 and I'll probably come here Everytime I return to Erie! Great job

I really like the tv show Undercover Billionaire, so I was excited to visit this place from my screen. Honestly, I was a little disappointed when stepping into the door. The room was changed and my waitress told me that they moved to this new location two years ago. The tables were sticky. There were few people inside. It seemed that this brand was not popular at all. However, my upset went away when I got their signature ribs. The ribs were wonderful with soft and juicy meat. The beans were also impressive with meat broth. The corn bread was delicious as a carb. The Cole slaw was refreshing. The fruit bbq sauce was my favorite. Everything tasted delicious. I was touched because I still remembering the scene in the show where the man started this business from nothing, a truck and some cash. The room was beautiful with some pictures of the show. Please clean tables! Service was fast and WiFi was available. There were many decent bbq items and entrees, besides the rib in the menu. Thank you Underdog.

We have wanted to visit Underdog since the show first aired on TV. It took several years to make a trip to Erie, it has been a great trip overall. As for Underdog BBQ we were not disappointed. We got the Mini Gauntlet which was enough for our family of 3. The dry rib on the ribs had great flavor. Good quality meat, cooked and smoked perfectly. My only criticism would be to make people aware when meats sells out. We stopped twice, the first time we sat in restaurant for about 10 minutes looking over menu until we ordered and were told the brisket was sold out for the day. Maybe have a sign up front or mention it while seating guests. Only other issue was substituting sides, none of us like coleslaw (minor mixup and they brought Mac & cheese after picture was taken), you are allowed to substitute sides but only at a $2 up charge. If you substitute a $3 side with another $3 side there should be no additional charge. Overall we had a great experience, with good food and a friendly waitress. The cornbread was also phenomenal!!!

My wife and I went at around 4 on a Friday. We had a great experience, the waitress was frequent and quick, and the food was 10/10. Everything was still warm as we tasted everything from the sampler platter and their Mini Gauntlet Platter. Everything was great on its own and their homemade sauces ramped up the flavor to another level. The price was $85 and we left with 5 take home containers and 2 deserts. We live an hour a way and will be returning.

Overall worth the price for a unique dining experience. The pickle appetizer was huge! The fries are fresh cut and delicious! The BBQ sauces are homemade like and unique- they had a peach one, pickle, jerk flavor, etc. although I just preferred the traditional, a brown sugar cinnamon or mesquite style bbq and also a Carolina bbq is always a staple that was missing tho. The pulled pork sandwich on a pretzel Bun was better than the burger. It was a big portion, nice big chunk pork. However they were good. The burger was on bread and it was disappointing cause the bread was soaked/soggy. But overall still good.
